CIGRE SESSION
The decision has been formally reached to make the 2021 Centennial Session a virtual event.
Since our 2020 e-session we have learned a great deal and we are also pleased to bring you the exciting news that the Virtual Session will be a unique immersive digital experience. The Session will be professionally hosted at the Palais des Congrès in their five new studios, each offering broadcast standard support and resources.
Using this technology our experts (SC Chairs, experts and others) will gather physically in Paris to host our virtual Group Discussion meetings in a carefully facilitated way, to allow full community engagement. Additionally there will be 16 new tutorials and we are exploring offering ‘CIGRE TV’ before and after the technical program. This would bring you daily Session reports, interviews, CIGRE news and more.
CIGRE Centennial Session
The Paris Centennial Session will be held virtually from August 18–27, 2021.
To provide flexibility to our members and to ensure that we provide maximum value to you during these uncertain times, we have the following options available to you if you have already registered for the 2021 Paris Session or would like to register for the 2021 Virtual Session and the 2022 Paris Session at a significantly reduced rate in 2021.
REGISTRATION RATES
Registration fees have been lowered to reflect the virtual nature of the event. Those who registered for the 2021 full Session can carry their registration forward to 2022 and access this year’s virtual event for a special highly discounted rate* (195 €). Similarly those who now register for 2022 will access the same rate.
The fee schedule follows:

* The special rate is for the delegates who will accept to transfer to the 2022 Session, their registrations to the 2021 hybrid Session paid in 2020 or 2021, and for the delegates who will register to the 2022 Session in 2021.
As usual, in 2021 all cancelled registration fees are refundable after the 2021 Paris Centennial Session with a 240 € deduction, except in special cases (health or visa issues).
Those who have already paid their registration for 2021 will be contacted directly about either carrying over their payment to the 2022 session or receiving a refund.
